CALL FOR ARTIST
Art In the School
Every artist knows that Art is important and should be a priority in our schools. However Art is always the first subject to suffer losses during budget cuts. If you would like to help stimulate artistic growth in the local schools in San Luis Obispo, please contact me; Stephen Olson at sloartist@yahoo.com. I am currently in negotiations with the administration of San Luis Obispo High School to develop a pilot program for bringing artist into the classrooms in the form of exhibitions, demonstrations or studio visits. Currently these would be volunteer positions, as the program is developed we would seek grant monies base on the success of the pilot program.
